Brad has practiced civil litigation since 1997. He concentrates his practice in complex litigation, nursing home cases, personal injury, product liability, mass tort, Jones Act, and railroad (FELA) injuries. He is recognized for his skills as an attorney, as a leader, and as an advocate at both the state and federal levels for the legal clients he serves. The courtroom is his passion. He has tried cases to verdict in Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, and West Virginia.
He is aggressively pursuing justice for clients in the RoundUp®, Zantac®, and 3M® Earplug litigations. Brad is also representing injured veterans against the Islamic Republic of Iran for injuries inflicted by terrorist organizations who were funded, supported and/or trained by Iran. He has appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and CNN regarding his cases and has been written about in newspapers throughout the country. Brad has repeatedly been recognized by his peers as a Super Lawyer, a Rising Star, and in 2006 as one of Forty Illinois Lawyers Under Forty to Watch. He has also been honored as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers. These honors are a direct result of his successes in the courtroom.
Brad began trying nursing home abuse cases after a family member was neglected and injured in a nursing home. He tried a suit against Fayette County Long Term Care which resulted in a $1.5 million judgment for the plaintiff. His experiences led him to write two books on the subject of nursing home abuse and neglect. Brad also successfully represented two burn victims in a product liability suit against Ford Motor Company that resulted in a $43 million verdict. It was the 2nd largest verdict in Illinois and 30th nationwide in 2005. The case was featured throughout the country and Brad appeared on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360.
Brad was born and raised in Madison County, Illinois. He, his wife, and two children now reside in Scottsdale, Arizona.
