Ana handles complex litigation matters, including personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, and construction accidents. She has recovered millions of dollars for injured clients in settlements and jury trial verdicts. In fact, Ana was part of the trial team representing a pedestrian who was struck by a Duane Reade Inc. (Walgreens) truck, which resulted in the highest published single plaintiff settlement in New York state history (2016).
In addition to her years of representing personal injury victims, Ana was a Law Clerk for the United Nations-WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) in New York City. In law school, Ana received the DePaul International Human Rights Law Institute scholarship to complete health outreach and education programs for indigenous women and children in the highlands of Guatemala. She also was awarded The Honorable Helen McGillicuddy Scholarship for an article submission to the DePaul Women’s Law Caucus Journal. Ana worked as Research Assistant to the Director of DePaul’s Health Law Institute, authored and published several articles on varied legal topics including genetics and eugenics, obesity law, and breastfeeding laws, and was a contributor to the text McGrady on Domain Names, a three-volume treatise on domain name law, published by Lexis Nexis in 2007.
Ana is a native Spanish speaker and is licensed to practice law in Arizona, New Jersey, and New York.
