Rob handles complex litigation matters, including catastrophic personal injury, product liability, class action, mass tort, and commercial disputes. He has tried cases to verdict, argued appeals, handled bench trials, arbitrations, and evidentiary proceedings in a multitude of jurisdictions. Rob practices in both state and federal court, including before the United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (MDL Panel). He has started representing plaintiffs in 2005, and has recovered more than $180 million for clients and class members since then. Rob is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum®, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum®, and has been named in Super Lawyers®. He has an AV (Preeminent) rating from Martindale-Hubbell®.
Until the Spring of 2005, he was a partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP (n/k/a Dentons). Rob has authored Class … Dismissed! Ill. U.L.J. 331 (1996) (Best Comment Award); Workers’ Compensation and Contribution in Illinois: Punching a Hole in the Kotecki Ceiling, 20 S. Ill. U.L.J. 651 (1996); and has lectured at continuing legal education courses. In law school, he was a member of the Southern Illinois University Law Journal Board of Editors, the Order of Barristers, and the National Health Law Moot Court team.
